Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Colorado Films ("we", "us") collects when you use coloradofilms.com, how we use it, who receives it, and the choices you have.
Information you give us
When you send a message through our contact form, we collect your name, email address and message. It is delivered to our inbox by email through Resend, an email delivery service. We use it only to read and reply to your message. We do not add you to a mailing list.
Information collected automatically
Unless you opt out, we use Google Analytics and Mixpanel to understand how people use the site. They record:
- the pages you view and the site that referred you;
- links and buttons you click, including which film's ticket link;
- your browser, device type and screen size;
- your approximate location (city or region), estimated from your IP address.
These tools do not record what you type into forms, and we do not record videos ("session replays") of your visit.
If you opt out, Google Analytics and Mixpanel stop running for you. We still count clicks on ticket links on the Out Now page: for each click, our server sends Mixpanel only the film title, theater, venue, showing date, ticket link, page and which link was clicked (the "Get Tickets Here" button, the showtimes ticker or the venue logo). It is sent without cookies, without any visitor ID and without your IP address, so it cannot be connected to you.
Two providers process technical information such as IP addresses in order to deliver the site to your browser: Cloudflare, which serves the site over a secure connection and protects it from attacks, and Render, which hosts it. Every request to this site passes through Cloudflare before reaching our server.

When you opt out, Mixpanel also saves that choice in your browser's local storage, and the Google Analytics and Mixpanel cookies are deleted.
Content from other websites
- YouTube videos on our homepage and podcast page use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, so YouTube sets no cookies until you play a video. Once you press play, Google's privacy policy applies.
- Our homepage shows the next film festival's website inside the page. That website may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy.
- Some images, such as posters and logos, load directly from other websites, which receive your IP address as with any web request.
- Ticket links on Out Now add
utm_source=coloradofilmsto the theater's web address, which tells the theater the visit came from us. Theaters' websites have their own privacy policies.
Who receives information
We share information only with the service providers named above, which process it for us: Google (Google Analytics), Mixpanel, Resend and Render. We may also disclose information when required by law. We do not sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising.
Your choices
- Opt out of tracking: click the cookie button in the bottom-left corner of any page, check "Opt Out" and click "Save My Preferences". You can opt back in the same way.
- Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends this signal, we treat it as an opt-out automatically.
- Do Not Track: Mixpanel does not track browsers that send a Do Not Track signal. Google Analytics does not respond to it, so use the opt-out above or Google's opt-out browser add-on.
- Cookies: you can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Accessing or deleting your information
To ask what personal information we have about you, such as messages you sent us, or to have it corrected or deleted, email info@coloradofilms.com. Analytics data is kept by Google and Mixpanel under their retention settings and is tied to a random visitor ID, not your name or email.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
